This tip will explain you what to do in case you are having problems when connecting to public WiFi, such as an airport or hotel one.
The first thing to try is to renew your “DHCP lease”. To do this, go to Settings -> Wi-Fi and tap on “More” on the WiFi network you are trying to access. Now select the DHCP page and tap on the Renew lease option.
In most cases, this should re-establish a WiFi connection.
However, if you are still getting connection issues, such as that it uses the Edge network every time you access a webpage, you can try resetting the WEP password.
Go to Settings -> Wi-Fi and, again, tap “More” on the WiFi network with which you are having trouble. Finally tap on the Forget this Network option. Note that, in case you had the network password stored, you will have to write it again when reconnecting.
